Anger is not the problem. What we do with it is.
Many people struggle with emotional overwhelm, irritability, shutdowns, conflict, resentment, or feeling constantly “on edge.” Sometimes anger becomes the emotion that comes out the loudest — even when what’s underneath is stress, hurt, shame, fear, burnout, rejection, or exhaustion.
This virtual therapy group is designed to help participants better understand their emotional reactions, recognize triggers before escalation, and build healthier ways to process and express difficult emotions without directing anger at themselves or the people around them.
Rather than focusing on punishment or shame, this group approaches anger through the lens of nervous system regulation, emotional awareness, attachment, communication, and self-understanding.
Participants will learn practical tools for:
Understanding emotional triggers and escalation cycles
Recognizing body cues and nervous system activation
Managing stress and emotional overwhelm
Improving communication during conflict
Setting boundaries without aggression
Reducing shame and self-criticism
Developing healthier coping and regulation strategies
Practicing accountability and repair in relationships
The group combines:
Psychoeducation
Guided discussion
Reflective exercises
Emotional regulation skill-building
Supportive group processing
This is not a “sit quietly and vent” group — participants will actively learn skills, practice insight, and build greater emotional awareness in a supportive environment.
