Many men grow up learning that their role is to hold everything together.
Be strong. Don’t need too much. Handle it yourself. Protect other people first.
For some, this starts early — becoming the “man of the house,” emotional caretaker, fixer, peacemaker, or protector long before they were ready.
While these roles often develop as survival strategies, they can create challenges later in life:
difficulty expressing emotions
shutting down during conflict
fear of vulnerability
people pleasing
anger or emotional withdrawal
loneliness
relationship struggles
or feeling responsible for everyone else’s wellbeing
This group is designed to help men better understand how childhood experiences, attachment patterns, and emotional conditioning impact adult relationships and mental health.
Through a combination of psychoeducation, guided discussion, and supportive group processing, participants will gain insight into:
attachment styles and relationship patterns
pursuer/distancer dynamics
shame and emotional avoidance
healthy coping mechanisms
communication and conflict skills
emotional regulation
boundaries and vulnerability
and building meaningful support systems outside of romantic relationships
The group is supportive, practical, and approachable — no prior therapy experience required.
